Your humour is wanted

The' joy of life does not always rely on what we do, but in how much we love doing it .

Fun and Laughter

With the monotony of work and the weight of earthly responsibility, we can easily lose sight of the real things that make us happy, and get caught up in the "shoulds" and "oughts", which often leave us feeling as if we have no choices and very little power to alter our own life, much less the energy to think about helping others.

Yet if we spend more time looking out at the world through the eyes of a child, we may find ourselves realising that there is much more fun to be had than most of us allow ourselves to experience.

Children are awestruck by just the nature of life. They are not interested in the "oh dears" and "I can't do", they are just interested in living and having fun - and they are never short of looking for new experiences, and finding them.

For Adults too, there are still multitudes of exciting things to do and discover in this world - and not everything costs too much or is beyond our reach.

Fun and Laughter

FUN and LAUGHTER are things we all need in our lives, but so many times we take ourselves and events so seriously that we tend to push them into the background.

If politicians too, let go their 'public face' and spent more time on recognising and inspiring good humour and creative expression between nations - whatever their differences - maybe the world would be a happier place?

So perhaps it is worth lighting a candle with this in mind, and contemplating on how you, as an individual, can bring about changes that will encourage others to do the same.

It is really is never too late to to put aside your active worries, and experiment in how to bring more fun into your life on a more permanent basis. Maybe you can find some new hobby or adventure that you have never thought of doing before, and take up the challenge just for the excitement and pleasure of doing it?

In spite of our difficulties, there is so much to live for - take up acting, join a club, write a book, dance a jig - whatever takes your fancy!

There is nothing like laughter to cut through the fears that are apt to beseige us, and there is nothing like having fun with a child to remind us of our own 'inner child' that may have lain dormant for many a year.

As time goes on, you will see how this approach can really stimulate and broaden your outlook on the world. We all have immense creative powers, if only we allow them to surface, and life should be fun, not a dogged existance.

When we find ways to really enjoy each experience it can lighten the burdens of responsibility and improve the wellbeing of ourselves, and others around us. People love happy people, but rarely want to spend too much time with willful victims or martyrs.

A little laughter at the anomalies of life, and particularly ourselves, goes a long way to ensuring we keep our own identity and self respect. We all have a sense of humour unique to us alone, and perhaps the only thing we "should" do, is to allow ourselves freedom to express it?

We don't need to allow ourselves to become overshadowed by the worries of the world, yet perhaps we do need to remind ourselves of the simple joys of a happy child at play.

Somewhere there is that magical, childlike quality within us all, and if we allow ourselves to rediscover, and continue to embrace this same innocence and faith, then indeed, all things can become possible.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure! It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?". Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your 'playing small' doesn't help the world! There is nothing enlightened about shrinking, so that others won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to manifest the Glory of God that is within us.

It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously 'give permission' to others to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our 'presence' automatically liberates others.
